repo.almalinux.org is intermittently serving 501 responses to requests. We are looking into this. *Note: this issue was reported and confirmed on March 3, 2026 but we backdated this issue to represent when the issue began.*
git.almalinux.org exhausted its memory and suffered downtime. This has been resolved for the time being and is being addressed long term with more memory, and additional caching configurations within Gitea.
The forums have dropped offline and we are investigating this. There is an issue impacting AWS us-east-1 which *may* be a contributing factor to this outage but that has not yet been confirmed.
https://vault.almalinux.org (and all other vault subdomains) will be undergoing maintenance today for network and hardware upgrades. This maintenance should be done within a few hours.
forums.almalinux.org experienced an unexpected outage during a normal Discourse update. This was quickly rectified.
Update: The issue has been resolved and the server is re-syncing. Identified: We are currently experiencing syncing issues to sea.rsync.repo.almalinux.org, causing some dnf updates to fail.
